    What are the prerequisites for the BA F&P exams?

    The Foundation exam has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite before you sit the Practitioner exam.

    Where can I take the EXIN BCS BA exams?

    You can take both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

    You will learn to investigate business situations, elicit and prioritise requirements, model processes and requirements, analyse strategy and stakeholders, and build a business case, then apply these techniques in realistic project scenarios at Practitioner level.

    Foundation covers the full set of EXIN BCS topic areas, including what business analysis is, investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis, process and requirements modelling, defining the solution, and making a business and financial case.

    What does the Practitioner level add?

    Practitioner builds on Foundation and focuses on applying BA techniques in realistic scenarios, across the strategic context, current situation, stakeholder management, business activity modelling, solution options and business case development.

    Are there practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams aligned to both the Foundation and Practitioner formats, along with case studies, to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Do I need prior experience to start?

    No. The Foundation level is designed for those new to business analysis and has no prerequisites. The combined programme then takes you through to applied Practitioner skills in one structured journey.
