    How many questions are there and how long are the exams?

    Each exam has 40 questions and a duration of 60 minutes. You sit two separate exams, one for Foundation and one for Practitioner, and must pass both to hold both credentials.

    What is the passing score?

    The passing score is 65% for both exams, which is 26 correct out of 40 questions. The same threshold applies to the Foundation and the Practitioner exam.

    Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

    The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level. The combined programme is taken sequentially, covering Foundation content first and then Practitioner, so you are prepared for both exams in one pathway.

    What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

    You can re-sit an EXIN exam. Verify the current re-sit policy and any re-examination fee with EXIN before booking. Our trainers provide guidance and practice to help you prepare thoroughly for both attempts.

    Yes. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, making it suitable for those new to business analysis. The training builds from concepts to applied practice, with trainer support throughout.

    What standard is the course aligned to?

    The course is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge. Both credentials are quality-assured by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
