What Is the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner Pathway?Your Hybrid Delivery Credential

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner certification training in Finland prepares you to combine the PRINCE2 project governance framework with agile delivery approaches such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean Startup. The PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner (PRINCE2A-F&P) qualification is governed by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert, and it runs as a two-level pathway that takes you from understanding the method to applying it in live projects. The credential suits project managers, delivery leads, Scrum Masters and PRINCE2 Foundation holders working in Finland's hybrid delivery environments, from Helsinki software houses and telecom players to banks and public sector programmes. Foundation has no formal prerequisites, while Practitioner accepts PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent. As Finnish employers pair structured governance with agile ways of working, professionals who can bridge both layers stand out. Earn both credentials with Invensis Learning and step into hybrid project roles with confidence.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Agile is an AXELOS qualification, examined by PeopleCert, that combines the PRINCE2 project governance framework with agile delivery methods such as Scrum and Kanban. The combined pathway covers both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, so you learn to understand and then apply the hybrid approach.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Agile is an AXELOS qualification, examined by PeopleCert, that combines the PRINCE2 project governance framework with agile delivery methods such as Scrum and Kanban. The combined pathway covers both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, so you learn to understand and then apply the hybrid approach.

Who should take this combined PRINCE2 Agile course in Finland?

It suits project managers, delivery leads, Scrum Masters and PRINCE2 Foundation holders working in hybrid environments across Finnish IT, telecom, banking and public sector organisations. Foundation has no prerequisites, so it is open to anyone new to the hybrid approach.

Is PRINCE2 Agile worth it for my career in Finland?

Yes. As Finnish employers pair governance with agile delivery, professionals who bridge both are in demand. IT project managers in Finland average around EUR 88,000, with senior and PMO roles higher, and a recognised credential helps you compete for hybrid roles. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

How is PRINCE2 Agile different from standard PRINCE2?

Standard PRINCE2 is a structured, predictive method. PRINCE2 Agile extends it with agile delivery guidance, letting the governance layer run the project while teams deliver using Scrum or Kanban. It adds the five targets for agile, the PRINCE2 Agile hexagon and MoSCoW prioritisation.

How long is the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner is valid for three years. You can renew by retaking the exam, completing CPD through a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level qualification. Confirm current renewal options at peoplecert.org.

    Is PRINCE2 Agile recognised internationally?

Yes. PRINCE2 Agile is a globally recognised AXELOS credential available in over 200 countries and especially valued across the UK, Europe and Nordic markets, including Finland, where PRINCE2 governance is widely used.

    Pricing

What is included in the PRINCE2 Agile course fee?

The training fee typically covers AXELOS-aligned courseware, expert instructor-led sessions, practice questions, mock exams and learner support for both levels. Exam vouchers are often bundled by accredited providers. Request a quote to see what your package includes.

How much does PRINCE2 Agile training cost in Finland?

Fees vary by format and whether exam vouchers are included, so pricing is available on request. Instructor-led and live online options are quoted separately from PeopleCert exam fees. Contact a learning advisor for a tailored quote in your preferred format.

Are the PeopleCert exam fees included in the price?

Exam fees may be bundled into a combined training and exam package or purchased separately through PeopleCert, and pricing varies by region and channel. We can confirm which option applies to your enrolment. Ask us about bundled exam vouchers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate PRINCE2 Agile training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and departments across Finland. Contact us for a group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined PRINCE2 Agile programme?

Two separate PeopleCert exams. Foundation has 40 questions in 60 minutes, closed book, with a 60% pass mark (24 out of 40). Practitioner has 50 questions in 150 minutes, open book, with a 60% pass mark (30 out of 50). You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The PRINCE2 Agile Foundation exam is closed book with 40 multiple-choice, single-answer questions to complete in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 60%, meaning 24 correct answers. It tests your knowledge and comprehension of the hybrid approach.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The PRINCE2 Agile publication is permitted during the Practitioner exam, but questions are scenario based and require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the publication and solid method knowledge are both needed.

What are the prerequisites for PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner?

You need PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent. PRINCE2 Agile Foundation itself has no formal prerequisites, so the combined pathway takes you from no requirement through to the Practitioner credential.

How and where do I sit the two exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online with 24/7 OnVUE proctoring or at authorised test centres. In the combined four-day programme, the Foundation exam is typically taken around day two and Practitioner at the end of day four.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit a PeopleCert exam; re-sit fees and policies apply, so confirm current terms at peoplecert.org. Our training includes practice questions and mock exams for both levels to help you prepare thoroughly before exam day.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 Agile course cover?

The Foundation part covers the agile mindset, blending agile with PRINCE2, stakeholder engagement, agile leadership, risk and change, progress tracking, roles, scalable agility and value-driven thinking. The Practitioner part applies and tailors these in real project scenarios.

    Which agile frameworks are included?

PRINCE2 Agile covers Scrum as the primary framework, plus Kanban, Lean Startup and Scrumban, along with awareness of scaling approaches. You also learn techniques such as MoSCoW prioritisation, timeboxing and burn charts within PRINCE2 governance.

Do I need prior PRINCE2 or agile experience?

No. Foundation has no prerequisites and is beginner friendly, though familiarity with Scrum or Kanban helps. The course builds from the agile mindset up to applying the method, so newcomers and experienced practitioners can both benefit.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive AXELOS-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams and scenario-based exercises for both levels, plus guidance on navigating the PRINCE2 Agile publication for the open-book Practitioner exam.

In what language is the course delivered?

Training and both PeopleCert exams are delivered in English, which is widely used in Finland's international IT, telecom and financial services workplaces. Sessions include practical, real-world case discussion.

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 Agile course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style. See upcoming batches to get started.

When can I start and how soon are the exams?

New cohorts run regularly, and the combined programme typically spans four days, with the Foundation exam around day two and Practitioner at the end. Check upcoming schedules for the next available Finland-friendly batch.
