Should I take the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

Take Fundamentals if you are new to P6 or use it occasionally and want a solid scheduling foundation. Take Advanced if you already use P6 regularly and want to master cost loading, earned value, Claim Digger, multi-project management and custom reporting. Both can be taken independently or in sequence.

Is Primavera P6 worth learning in France?

Is there an exam for Primavera P6 training?

No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course, so there is no examination at either the Fundamentals or Advanced level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on P6 exercises on realistic project scenarios throughout each programme.

Do I receive anything after completing the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. It confirms the P6 skills you have built; it is not a certification, as this is a software skills course focused on practical capability rather than a credential.

How is learning measured during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you follow along in Primavera P6 as the trainer demonstrates each feature, then complete hands-on exercises using realistic construction, engineering or capital-project scenarios, so you build proficiency by doing the work yourself.

Are there prerequisites for the Advanced level?

For Fundamentals there are no prerequisites, though basic project management familiarity helps. For Advanced, you should have completed the Fundamentals course or have equivalent hands-on P6 experience, as it builds directly on core scheduling skills.

Will the training help me on real projects straight away?

Yes. The skills are immediately applicable and do not expire. Because the exercises mirror real capital-project scheduling, you can apply P6 planning, resource loading, cost loading and earned value on your own projects the next working day.

How long is each level of the training?

Fundamentals runs for 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced runs for 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or as extended half-day formats. Ask about current scheduling options for your preferred level.

Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

It is hands-on throughout. You work directly in Primavera P6 alongside the trainer, completing live exercises for each workflow, from building the schedule to earned value reporting, so you gain real software proficiency rather than just theory.

What learning materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware covering each module, practical exercises and realistic project scenarios, plus reference guides and templates to support your learning. These help you revise the workflows and apply them to your own projects after the course.
