    The Practitioner exam is closed book with 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The passing score is 65 percent, 26 out of 40. Each question presents a realistic project scenario that tests how you apply business analysis techniques.

    How many exams are in the combined programme?

    There are two separate exams, one for each level. You must sit and pass both the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. The programme prepares you for both.

    Are there prerequisites for the exams?

    The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite before you sit the Practitioner exam, which is why the two are taught in sequence.

    Where can I take the exams?

    Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's online proctoring or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are typically arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

    What will I learn in this course?

    You will learn investigation and requirements elicitation, requirements analysis and documentation, business process modelling with BPMN, stakeholder management, strategy analysis and business case development, then how to apply these techniques to realistic project scenarios at Practitioner level.

    Do I need prior experience to keep up?

    No. The Foundation level starts with core concepts and assumes no prior business analysis knowledge, so beginners can follow it. The Practitioner content then builds on that foundation with applied, scenario-based practice.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, so you study the current, quality-assured content.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, along with industry case studies, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for both exams.
