What Is the Certified ScrumMaster Certification?Your Route into Agile Leadership

The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is Scrum Alliance's most widely recognised entry-level Scrum Master credential, and this CSM certification training in Argentina gives you the fastest supported route to earning it. The programme builds a working command of the Scrum framework, the Scrum Master role, and the five Scrum values that make agile teams effective. Delivered as a 16-hour instructor-led course by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer, the training is aligned to the current Scrum Guide (November 2020 edition) and the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives. You learn empiricism and the three pillars of Scrum, all five Scrum events, the three artefacts, and servant leadership, then apply them through realistic team scenarios. The course suits aspiring Scrum Masters, developers and testers formalising their Scrum knowledge, and project managers moving into agile delivery. With Argentina's fintech, nearshore software and e-commerce sectors adopting Scrum at pace, now is a strong moment to get certified with Invensis Learning and step into a Scrum Master role.

    Scrum Theory and Empiricism

What you will learn in CSM starts here: master empirical process control and the three pillars of transparency, inspection and adaptation, and understand why Scrum thrives in complex, changing work.

Apply commitment, focus, openness, respect and courage to build trust and psychological safety, and learn how the Scrum Master models these values to make teams effective.

    Building an Effective Scrum Team

Understand the Scrum Master, Product Owner and Developer accountabilities, and how self-management and cross-functionality let a small, cohesive team create value each sprint.

    Facilitating the Five Scrum Events

Run the Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective within their timeboxes, using facilitation techniques that keep events focused and productive.

    Managing the Three Scrum Artefacts

Work with the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog and Increment, and use the Product Goal, Sprint Goal and Definition of Done as commitments that create transparency and quality.

    Owning the Scrum Master Role

It suits aspiring Scrum Masters, developers formalising Scrum knowledge, and project managers moving into agile delivery.

Is the Certified ScrumMaster worth it in Argentina?

Yes. As Argentine software, fintech and nearshore teams deliver Scrum products for local and global clients, certified Scrum Masters are in demand and stay relatively scarce. The CSM opens Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Product Owner roles and supports stronger pay in a competitive market.

Is the CSM recognised by employers in Argentina?

Yes. The CSM is the world's most widely recognised Scrum Master credential, with more than one million certificates issued, and it is valued by multinationals, startups and nearshore employers operating in Argentina.

Do I need prior experience to become a Scrum Master?

No formal work experience or education is required. The CSM is designed for those new to Scrum as well as those formalising existing knowledge. You do need to attend an approved course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer before sitting the exam.

How long is the CSM certification valid?

The CSM is valid for two years. To renew, you earn 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee within each two-year cycle. SEUs can be earned through training, coaching, conferences and self-study.

    Pricing

What is included in the CSM course fee?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the CSM exam?

The CSM exam is an open-book, multiple-choice test taken online through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete an approved course. No proctor is required, and questions use a single-answer format.

How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

The CSM exam has 50 questions and a 60-minute time limit. It is taken online and is open book, so you can refer to materials during the exam.

What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

You need 74% to pass, which means answering at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. Candidates typically have three attempts within 90 days of completing the course.

What if I do not pass the CSM exam the first time?

You generally have up to three attempts within the 90-day window following course completion, and our training includes practice questions and guidance to help you pass. Verify the current attempt policy on the Scrum Alliance portal.

Which standard is the CSM exam based on?

The exam is based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives and aligned to the current Scrum Guide, the November 2020 edition by Schwaber and Sutherland, covering Scrum theory, values, the team, events, artefacts and the Scrum Master role.

    Course Content

What topics does the CSM training cover?

The training covers the six CSM areas: Scrum theory and principles, the five Scrum values, the Scrum team, the five Scrum events, the three artefacts, and the Scrum Master role, all aligned to the 2020 Scrum Guide and the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives.
