Assessment

Is there a test to pass in this course?

No. This is a practical skills course rather than a formal qualification, so there is no test to pass. You learn by doing, through waste walks, value stream mapping, 5S assessment and OEE calculation exercises during the programme.

What do I receive after completing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning confirming you have completed the one-day Lean Manufacturing programme. The Lean tools and methods you learn are immediately applicable on the shop floor.

How is my learning assessed?

Learning is reinforced through hands-on activities rather than a formal assessment. You apply Lean tools to realistic production scenarios and group exercises throughout the day, so you leave able to use them at work.

Will this training help me work towards Lean Six Sigma later?

Yes. Lean Manufacturing is a strong foundation for further study such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen or Lean Six Sigma programmes, all available through Invensis Learning. It gives you the Lean toolkit those pathways build on.

Do the skills expire or need renewing?

What will I learn in the Lean Manufacturing course?

You will learn to identify and eliminate the eight wastes, map value streams, apply 5S and visual management, design pull systems and kanban, use TPM and OEE, and build standard work and Kaizen habits. Each topic includes practical, shop-floor exercises.

What are the eight wastes covered in the training?

The course teaches the eight wastes using the DOWNTIME memory aid: Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, Non-utilised talent, Transportation, Inventory, Motion and Extra processing. You practise spotting each one on a Gemba waste walk.

Does the course include hands-on exercises?

Yes. The programme is built around practical activities: waste identification, value stream mapping, a 5S workplace assessment, OEE calculation and kanban sizing, so you apply every tool rather than just hearing about it.

How long is the Lean Manufacturing training?

The course runs for one day (8 hours), covering all six modules from Lean foundations and the eight wastes through VSM, 5S, pull systems, TPM, standard work, SMED and Kaizen, with hands-on exercises throughout.

What language and materials is the training delivered in?

Training is delivered in English by experienced Lean practitioners, with downloadable materials, reference guides and exercise templates you can reuse at work. Corporate sessions can be tailored to your plant and processes.
