Who should take the PRINCE2 combined course?

The combined course suits project team members, aspiring project managers and experienced practitioners who want a recognised method credential. It is ideal for anyone in Canada working in, or moving into, PRINCE2-aligned project environments across IT, government, construction and financial services.

    Is PRINCE2 recognised in Canada?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised project management method valued by Canadian employers, with particular strength in government, public sector and Commonwealth-aligned organisations. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries, and more than a million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued worldwide.

Is the PRINCE2 certification worth it in Canada?

For many professionals, yes. Project manager roles in Canada average around C$105,000, rising past C$139,000 for senior managers, and certified, method-fluent leaders are in strong demand. PRINCE2 gives you a structured, transferable credential that supports roles from project coordinator to PMO leadership.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. You can renew by earning 60 CPD points, by retaking the Practitioner exam, or by passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification. Confirm the current renewal options at peoplecert.org.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Canada?

Training fees vary by format, such as live online, classroom or corporate group delivery. The fee typically covers courseware, practice questions, mock exams and learner support. Pricing is available on request, so speak with a learning advisor for a quote that fits your needs.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee usually includes accredited courseware, chapter-wise quizzes, practice questions, full-length mock exams, downloadable templates and post-training support. Whether the PeopleCert exam vouchers are bundled depends on the package you choose, so confirm this at enrolment.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

This depends on the package. Some plans bundle both PeopleCert exam vouchers with the training, while others price them separately. Ask a learning advisor which option includes the Foundation and Practitioner exams so you can compare the full cost.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for PRINCE2 training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments across Canada. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the payment option that suits you.

    Exam

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and uses scenario-based questions. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. Foundation is a prerequisite.

What is the passing score for the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams require 60% to pass. That is 36 out of 60 questions for Foundation and 42 out of 70 marks for Practitioner. Both are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition syllabus published by PeopleCert.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams in Canada?

You can sit both exams online through PeopleCert's online proctored system, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged as part of your combined training and dual exam package.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take PRINCE2 Foundation?

No prior experience is required. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, making it suitable for beginners. The training builds your knowledge step by step before you progress to the Practitioner level.

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The course covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices, such as Business Case, Risk and Quality, and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project. It also covers tailoring the method to agile and hybrid delivery.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the course follow?

The course follows PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), the current version published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. It aligns to the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual and the latest Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes for both levels. These help you identify weak areas, build recall for the closed-book Foundation exam, and practise technique for the open-book Practitioner exam.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates commercial management, agile and sustainability across the method. The course teaches the method as it is examined today, so you learn the current 7th edition.
