What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?Your Route to Leading Change in Geneva

Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification training in Geneva prepares you to lead the people side of organisational change from end to end. The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) credential sits within the Change Management Institute and Agile Business Consortium scheme and is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide. Foundation validates your knowledge of change models such as ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step and Lewin's approach, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real organisational scenarios. The combined programme covers all five syllabus areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management. For professionals in Geneva's banking, commodity-trading, life-sciences and international-organisation sectors, the credential is a recognised, transferable mark of change capability. You sit two separate exams, earn both designations, and start your change leadership journey with Invensis Learning.

It is aligned to the CMBoK and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level change management qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real scenarios. It is aligned to the CMBoK and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Who should take this training in Geneva?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who drive change. In Geneva it is especially relevant to professionals in banking, commodity trading, life sciences and international organisations who need proven change capability.

Is the certification recognised in Geneva and internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected across Europe, including Geneva's banking, pharma and international-organisation employers. It is a transferable credential that travels across sectors and borders.

Do I need prior experience to start?

No. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner level requires you to hold the Foundation certification first, which the combined programme prepares you for in sequence.

Is the certification worth it for my career?

Yes. Change management roles in Switzerland pay strongly, with change managers averaging around CHF 115,500 and senior transformation leads higher, and Geneva employers actively hire certified professionals. The credential adds the people-change dimension that project delivery alone does not evidence. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Pricing

How much does the training cost in Geneva?

Training fees are quoted in CHF and vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. Your fee covers instructor-led training, courseware, practice questions and exam-preparation support. Request a quote for current Geneva batch pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, courseware aligned to the official syllabi, practice questions, mock exams, and guidance for the Foundation and Practitioner exams. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen batch when you enrol.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package, so confirm it when you enrol. Where exams are billed separately, the fee is quoted transparently before you book. Ask a learning advisor which package includes the CM-F and CM-P exam vouchers.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change teams, PMOs, HR functions and leadership groups in Geneva. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

Two separate exams. You sit the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam, and must pass both to hold both credentials. The combined five-day programme prepares you for each in sequence.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a 40-minute duration. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50 per cent, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has five scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book, and the pass mark is 50 per cent, which is 40 out of 80 marks. You must hold the Foundation certification to sit it.

What are the passing scores for both exams?

Both exams require 50 per cent. Foundation needs 25 out of 50 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 40 out of 80 marks across the five sections. Broad mastery of all five syllabus areas is the best preparation.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

    Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The programme covers all five syllabus areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management. Foundation builds knowledge, and Practitioner develops applied skill.

What change models will I learn?

You will learn individual and organisational change models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition, Lewin's Three-Step, Kotter's 8-Step and McKinsey 7-S, plus Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both levels, with scenario-based practice for the open-book Practitioner exam to help you identify weak areas and build readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the official Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, the CMBoK and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide.

What materials and support are provided?

You receive aligned courseware, case studies drawn from real change scenarios, practice questions, mock exams and open-book exam technique, plus learner support before, during and after the training.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to enrol?

Anyone can enrol in the training. Foundation has no prerequisites, and you need the Foundation certification to sit the Practitioner exam, which the combined programme prepares you for in order. No formal education or work experience is required.

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Geneva?

We offer live virtual instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training for teams in Geneva. Choose the format that fits your schedule and learning preference.
