Does DFSS lead into other Six Sigma training?

Course Content

What topics does the DFSS course cover?

The course covers DFSS foundations and the DMADV roadmap, the Define phase (VOC and Kano), the Measure phase (CTQ flow-down and QFD), the Analyse phase (concept selection and DFMEA), the Design phase (robust design and DFMA), and the Verify phase (verification, validation and design transfer).

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. There are no prerequisites, and every DFSS tool and the DMADV methodology are introduced from first principles. Beginners and experienced Six Sigma practitioners both benefit, as hands-on exercises build capability step by step.

Are the sessions hands-on?

Yes. Hands-on tool exercises run throughout the day. You apply VOC to CTQ flow-down, build a QFD House of Quality, use the Pugh matrix and complete a Design FMEA worksheet using realistic product or process design scenarios.

How long is the training?

The programme is delivered as one intensive day of eight hours, or as two half-days totalling the same eight hours, covering all six DMADV phases with concept explanations, case examples and hands-on exercises.

What materials do I receive?

You receive structured courseware covering the DMADV roadmap and each core tool, along with worked examples and exercise templates for VOC, QFD, the Pugh matrix and DFMEA that you can adapt for your own design projects.
