    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, lasts 60 minutes, and is closed book. The pass mark is 60 percent, or 36 out of 60. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 7 method.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, lasts 150 minutes, and is open book, so the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted. The pass mark is 60 percent, or 42 out of 70, using scenario-based questions.

    Are there prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

    Yes. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. In the combined programme you sit Foundation first, then Practitioner, so both credentials are earned in sequence.

    Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    You can take both exams online through the PeopleCert OnVUE proctored system, available 24 hours a day, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged through the accredited training package.

    What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

    You can resit either exam. Selected Invensis Learning plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training again, plus practice questions and mock exams to strengthen weak areas before you resit. Confirm current resit policy and fees with PeopleCert and your advisor.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the PRINCE2 training?

    You will learn the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices such as business case, quality and risk, and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project. You also learn to tailor the method to agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery.

    Do I need prior experience or can a beginner take this course?

    Beginners are welcome. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites, so the course is open to those new to project management as well as experienced professionals. The training builds knowledge step by step from Foundation up to applied Practitioner level.
