Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. Lean Manufacturing Training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities and real manufacturing case studies during the one-day programme.

What do I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning confirming you have completed the one-day programme. The Lean skills and tools you gain are immediately applicable to production improvement and do not expire.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply the tools through practical activities such as a Gemba waste walk, value stream mapping, a 5S review, an OEE calculation and a kanban sizing exercise, so you leave able to use them at work.

Is this a certification course?

No. This is a practical skills training course, not a certification programme. There is no awarding body or exam. You build a complete Lean toolkit and receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Can I progress to further Lean training afterwards?

What topics are covered in the training?

The programme covers Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the eight wastes, value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, poka yoke and building a kaizen culture.

What Lean tools will I learn to use?

You will learn to run a waste walk, draw current and future-state value stream maps, apply 5S, design a simple kanban pull system, calculate OEE, write standard work, apply SMED quick changeover and lead kaizen improvements on the shop floor.

How long is the Lean Manufacturing Training?

The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering all six modules with concept explanations, real manufacturing case studies and hands-on exercises throughout. An extended half-day format across two days is also available.

Are there hands-on exercises included?

Yes. The day is built around practical activities, including a Gemba waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and kanban quantity sizing, so you apply each tool to realistic production scenarios.

What materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware, reference guides and exercise templates covering the full Lean toolkit, plus a course completion certificate. Corporate sessions can include examples tailored to your own sector and processes.
