What does the training fee include?

The training fee usually includes PMI-aligned courseware mapped to the four domains, practice questions, mock exams, guidance on the four mandatory prerequisite modules and the PMI application, and post-training learner support. The PMI exam fee is not included.

How much is the PMI-CP exam fee?

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a duration of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO).

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

There are four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). The weighting shows why contracts, claims and delivery methods are central to the credential.

What are the prerequisites to sit the PMI-CP exam?

You must complete four mandatory self-paced modules (Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management, 56 PDUs in total) and meet one experience and education set: for example a bachelor's degree with 36 months of construction PM experience plus 35 contact hours of PM education.

What is the passing score, and can I retake the exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, with domain-level feedback. You have up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility window from application approval, so focus on broad mastery across all four domains.

Where can I take the PMI-CP exam in Kenya?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through the Pearson VUE website or PMI's portal within your eligibility period.

Which standard is the PMI-CP training based on?

The training is built around the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and draws on the current edition of the PMBOK Guide as its underlying project management reference, alongside construction industry-specific standards and practices.

Can I take this course if I am moving from site or QS roles into PM?

Yes. The programme suits experienced construction professionals progressing from site engineering, site management or quantity surveying into project management. Anyone can attend the training; the experience requirements apply when you apply to PMI for the exam.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 120-question, closed-book format, plus topic-wise quizzes to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness across all four domains.

Does this training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of PM education PMI requires. Confirm with our team whether supplementary self-study or pre-reading is credited toward the 35-hour requirement for your application.
