    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. The passing score is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 7 method.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam is open book, with 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. It is scenario based and requires 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted.

    What are the prerequisites for each exam?

    Foundation has no prerequisites and is open to all. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Both exams are taken to hold the full credential.

    Where and how do I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through the OnVUE proctoring system available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged as part of a combined training and dual-exam package.

    What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can re-sit the exam that you did not pass. Selected plans include revision support and flexible re-attend options to help you prepare again. Confirm the current re-sit policy and fees with PeopleCert before booking.
