What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification? The People Side of Successful Change

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) is a globally recognised, two-level certification that proves you can lead the people and culture side of organisational change, not just the project schedule. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts and models, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real organisational change scenarios. Change Management certification training in Cambodia is in growing demand as banks, telecom operators, manufacturers and public bodies across Phnom Penh accelerate digital transformation and restructuring. Certified change professionals help these organisations move people through change so that new systems and ways of working actually stick. The programme is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Exam Syllabi. You will study proven models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and the McKinsey 7-S Framework, then practise applying them to workplace situations. Start your change leadership journey with Invensis Learning.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a two-level certification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change management concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level certification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change management concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Who should take this change management course in Cambodia?

It suits project managers, HR and organisational development practitioners, transformation leads, consultants and senior leaders who sponsor or support change. Anyone helping their organisation adopt new systems, structures or ways of working will benefit, and no prior change management experience is needed for the Foundation level.

Is the Change Management certification worth it?

Yes. As banks, telecoms, manufacturers and public bodies in Cambodia accelerate transformation, credentialed change professionals are in demand, and senior change and transformation roles can reach USD 2,000 to 4,000+ per month. The credential is globally recognised and helps you stand out in a market thin on change talent.

What are the prerequisites for the Foundation level?

None. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all regardless of education or experience. The Practitioner level requires the Change Management Foundation certification first, so the combined programme takes both in sequence.

    Is this certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is treated as a professional discipline. It is based on the CMBoK maintained by the Change Management Institute.

Which change management models does the course cover?

The syllabus covers a broad range of models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence domains and Cialdini's six principles of influence.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Cambodia?

Pricing varies by delivery format and schedule, so the current fee is available on request. It typically covers instructor-led training, courseware and exam preparation resources. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for a figure tailored to your chosen format.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, courseware aligned to the official syllabi, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions, and dedicated learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at the time of enrolment.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Dual exam vouchers for the Foundation and Practitioner exams are typically included in the combined training package, though this can vary by plan. Confirm current exam voucher inclusion when you enrol, or ask a learning advisor for details.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR functions, transformation offices and leadership teams. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you best.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. The combined programme prepares you for each in sequence.

What is the Foundation exam format?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in a single-answer, closed-book format, with 40 minutes allotted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct.

What is the Practitioner exam format?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, which is why the course drills open-book technique.

    How are the exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered online through a proctoring system or at an authorised test centre. Each exam is typically taken at the end of its training block within the combined programme.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit an exam if needed, and our trainers provide guidance to help you clear both levels on the first attempt. Re-sit fees and policies are confirmed at enrolment, so ask a learning advisor for the details that apply to your plan.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the training?

The course covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner develops the ability to apply it to real scenarios.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and starts from core concepts, so beginners can join with confidence. The training builds step by step from understanding change models to applying them, with hands-on practice throughout.

    How long is the training?

The combined programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days varies with the schedule format, such as full-day intensive or extended part-day sessions, so you can pick what fits your availability.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the official Foundation and Practitioner syllabi, industry-driven case studies, mock exams and practice questions, and revision aids. Materials support both exam preparation and real workplace application.

Which standard is the course aligned to?

The course is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Exam Syllabi, and the Change Management Practitioner Guide used for the open-book exam.
