Is there a test or assessment in the QFD course?

No. QFD is a practical skills course with no formal test. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality exercises, case studies and team discussion during the one-day programme.

What do I receive after completing the QFD training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. The training builds practical QFD and House of Quality skills you can apply immediately to product development, design for quality and process improvement.

How is my learning checked during the course?

Learning is checked informally through hands-on activities rather than a formal test. You build and interpret a House of Quality, classify needs with the Kano model and calculate engineering targets during the session.

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The course covers QFD foundations, Voice of the Customer capture, the Kano model, building and interpreting the six-room House of Quality, the correlation roof, and cascading QFD through its four phases, plus QFD in Design for Six Sigma, DMAIC and service design.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, flags design conflicts in the correlation roof, benchmarks against competitors and sets engineering targets.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. You build a full House of Quality from a realistic product or service scenario, structure customer needs with an affinity diagram, apply the Kano model and calculate column importance, so you can apply the method at work straight away.

How long is the QFD training?

The course runs as a one-day, eight-hour programme, also available as two half-days. It covers the full QFD method, from the Voice of the Customer through the House of Quality to the four-phase cascade.

Does the course cover QFD in Six Sigma?

Yes. The course shows how QFD supports Design for Six Sigma in the DMADV Measure phase and Six Sigma DMAIC in the Define phase, translating the Voice of the Customer into critical-to-quality requirements and project scope.
