Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced credential in the PRINCE2 7 qualification scheme, governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. It validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to real project scenarios, and is designed for practicing and aspiring project managers.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced credential in the PRINCE2 7 qualification scheme, governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. It validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to real project scenarios, and is designed for practicing and aspiring project managers.

Is PRINCE2 Practitioner worth it in Seattle?

Yes. Seattle project managers average around $111,490 a year, with senior and program roles reaching well beyond that. The Practitioner credential signals structured, tailorable governance that cloud, aerospace, healthcare and public-sector employers across the region actively value.

    Who should take PRINCE2 Practitioner?

It suits practicing and aspiring project managers, PRINCE2 Foundation holders advancing to the next level, and PMP or CAPM holders diversifying their credentials. It is the definitive credential for professionals who want to lead projects using the PRINCE2 method.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) introduces People as a core capability covering leadership and stakeholder engagement, renames Themes to Practices, and adds sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, and commercial considerations. Management products and processes are also updated.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is valid for three years. You can renew by retaking and passing the Practitioner exam, by completing continuing professional development through a MyPeopleCert or MyAxelos subscription, or by passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 Practitioner training cost in Seattle?

Training pricing is available on request and varies by format, such as live online or corporate group delivery. The PeopleCert exam fee is billed separately in USD and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current Seattle batch pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited courseware, scenario-based practice, mock exams, open-book exam technique, and post-training learner support. Talk to a learning advisor to confirm exactly what your selected plan includes.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

The PeopleCert exam fee is normally billed separately in USD, though some packages bundle it. Pricing varies by region and channel, so confirm current figures with us or on peoplecert.org before you book.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customized schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, delivery teams and leadership groups across Seattle. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer installment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the Practitioner exam on the first try?

You can retake the exam, and our training is built to prepare you thoroughly the first time with scenario practice and open-book technique. Confirm the current PeopleCert re-sit policy and any reexamination fee before you rebook.

How many questions are on the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks. Questions are scenario-based and use formats such as multiple choice, matching and assertion-reason, testing your ability to apply and tailor the method rather than recall facts.

How long is the exam and is it open book?

You have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to complete the exam. It is open book, so the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted, but questions require analysis and judgment, so efficient navigation and deep method knowledge both matter.

What is the passing score for the Practitioner exam?

The pass mark is 60%, which means you need at least 42 out of 70 marks. Focus on applying and tailoring the principles, practices and processes across scenarios rather than memorizing content.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

You can sit the exam online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorized test center. The exam is usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of a training and exam package.

Which edition is the exam based on?

The exam is based on the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus, aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the Managing Successful Projects manual published by PeopleCert and AXELOS.

    Course Content

Do I need experience or a prior certification to take this?

Anyone can attend the training. To sit the Practitioner exam, PeopleCert requires PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Our advisors can confirm current accepted prerequisites for you.

What topics does the training cover?

The training covers the nine Practitioner syllabus areas: principles, practices, processes, key roles and responsibilities, people management, sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, effective communication, and tailoring PRINCE2 to your needs.

Does the training include practice exams?

Yes. The program includes scenario-based practice questions and mock exams modeled on the 56-question, 150-minute, open-book format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real thing.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus and the Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual, so you study the same standard the exam is built on.

    How is the training delivered?

The Practitioner course runs as a 16-hour program, usually across two days, delivered live online (live virtual) or in a classroom format. Both use scenario-based learning and guided open-book exam technique.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enroll?

You can enroll through the Invensis Learning website and join an upcoming live online or classroom batch. Choose your format, complete payment, and you will receive schedules, courseware and resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor.

What are the prerequisites to enroll?

There is no barrier to attending the training. To sit the exam you need PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent qualification. If you do not yet hold one, we can guide you on the most direct route to Practitioner.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customized corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrollment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training again. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrollment.
