PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a globally recognised, structured project management method. This combined certification covers both the Foundation and Practitioner levels of the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a globally recognised, structured project management method. This combined certification covers both the Foundation and Practitioner levels of the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert.

Who should take PRINCE2 training in Al Jubail?

It suits project managers, engineers, project team members and aspiring project managers across petrochemical, EPC, energy and government projects. Foundation has no prerequisites, so it is also ideal for those new to structured project management.

Is PRINCE2 worth it for professionals in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. Vision 2030, government and EPC delivery all reward business cases, stage gates and governance, the discipline PRINCE2 teaches. Certified project managers in Saudi Arabia command strong salaries, with Eastern Province premiums of 20-30% in oil and gas.

Is the PRINCE2 certification recognised internationally?

Yes. Over a million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued worldwide, with particular strength in the Middle East, UK, Europe and Commonwealth markets. PeopleCert operates in more than 200 countries, so your credential travels with you.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, while Practitioner can be renewed by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

Do I need Foundation before taking the Practitioner exam?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP or CAPM, is a prerequisite for the Practitioner exam. This combined programme covers both levels in sequence, so you can prepare for and sit both exams.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Al Jubail?

Training fees depend on your chosen format and are available on request in local currency. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately under regional pricing and are not part of the training fee. Request a quote for the exact package price.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, preparation for both exams, practice questions, mock exams, templates, learner support and a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor for the full inclusions of your plan.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees are set and billed by PeopleCert under regional pricing and are usually separate from the training fee, though some packages bundle them. Confirm the current Foundation and Practitioner exam fees before booking, or ask us for a combined quote.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and business units across Al Jubail. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment methods are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 60%, meaning 36 out of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 7 method.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. It is open book, allowing the PRINCE2 manual, and the pass mark is 60%, meaning 42 out of 70 marks. It tests application and tailoring in project scenarios.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate PeopleCert exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. In the four-day format, Foundation is usually taken first, followed by Practitioner.

Which edition are the PRINCE2 exams based on?

Both exams are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. Our courseware reflects this latest version, including the new People capability.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

You can sit both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE online proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged as part of your combined training and dual exam package.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam under PeopleCert's resit policy, and selected training plans include revision and retake support to help you prepare. Confirm the current resit fees and rules with PeopleCert before rebooking.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 course cover?

The course covers the seven principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organising, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project, plus tailoring and exam preparation.

Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

Beginners are welcome. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites, and the training builds your knowledge step by step before moving into applied Practitioner scenarios, so you do not need prior project management experience to start.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full mock exams mapped to the PRINCE2 7 syllabus for both the closed-book Foundation and open-book Practitioner formats, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element covering leadership and stakeholder engagement, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile, sustainability and commercial management across the method.

What is the difference between the two levels?

Foundation tests knowledge and comprehension of PRINCE2 and is closed book, while Practitioner tests your ability to apply and tailor the method to project scenarios and is open book. Together they prove both understanding and practical capability.
