    Managing Scrum Artefacts and Commitments

The CSM is Scrum Alliance's entry-level Scrum Master certification. It validates your understanding of the Scrum framework, the Scrum Master role, and the values and practices that make Scrum teams effective, and it is the most widely recognised Scrum Master credential worldwide.

    General

What is the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification?

The CSM is Scrum Alliance's entry-level Scrum Master certification. It validates your understanding of the Scrum framework, the Scrum Master role, and the values and practices that make Scrum teams effective, and it is the most widely recognised Scrum Master credential worldwide.

Who should take the CSM course in Sudan?

The CSM suits anyone who wants to work as a Scrum Master or contribute effectively to a Scrum team. It fits developers, testers, business analysts, team leads and project managers moving into agile across Sudan's telecom, banking, fintech and software sectors. No formal experience is required.

Is the CSM worth it for professionals in Sudan?

Yes. As digital banking, mobile money and software delivery scale in Sudan, employers increasingly seek certified agile facilitators, and the talent pool is thin. The CSM gives you a globally recognised credential that opens Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Delivery Lead roles. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Is the CSM recognised internationally?

Yes. The Certified ScrumMaster is the world's most widely recognised Scrum Master credential, with over one million certificates issued. Scrum Alliance operates globally across all industries, so your CSM travels across sectors and borders.

How long is the CSM certification valid?

The CSM is valid for two years. To renew, you earn 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee within each two-year cycle. SEUs can be earned through courses, conferences, coaching and self-study.

Do I need experience to become a CSM?

No. There is no formal education or work experience requirement for the CSM. You do need to attend an approved course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer, which is mandatory before you can access the online exam.

    Pricing

What is included in the CSM course fee?

The fee typically covers the two-day, 16-hour instructor-led course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer, Scrum Alliance aligned courseware, case studies and exam preparation, and the CSM online exam access. A two-year Scrum Alliance membership is included on completion. Request a quote for the full inclusions.

How much does CSM training cost in Sudan?

CSM training pricing varies by delivery format and schedule, so it is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for current pricing and upcoming batches for Sudan, and ask about individual and corporate options.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

Yes. For the CSM, the online exam fee is typically included in the course fee paid to the training provider, and the exam is unlocked through your Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete the course. Confirm the exact inclusions when you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for CSM training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for product teams, PMOs and departments. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

    What payment methods are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you and to see current schedules.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the CSM exam the first time?

You have up to three attempts to pass the CSM exam within 90 days of completing the course. Our trainer guidance, case studies and practice questions are designed to help you pass on your first attempt, so you can approach the exam with confidence.

What is the format of the CSM exam?

The CSM exam is an open-book, multiple-choice examination taken online through the Scrum Alliance member portal after course completion, with no proctor required. It is based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives and the current Scrum Guide.

How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

The CSM exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and a 60-minute time limit. It is open book and taken online via the Scrum Alliance portal within 90 days of completing your course.

What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

You need 74% to pass, which means answering at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. Focus on broad mastery across Scrum theory, values, the team, events, artefacts and the Scrum Master role.

Do I have to attend a course to sit the CSM exam?

Yes. Attendance at an approved CSM course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer is mandatory. The exam cannot be accessed without completing the course, which you then have 90 days to sit online.

Which standard is the CSM exam based on?

The CSM exam is based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives and aligned to the current Scrum Guide (the November 2020 edition by Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland), which introduced the Product Goal and the commitments for each artefact.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take the CSM course?

Yes. The CSM is designed for people new to the Scrum Master role as well as those formalising existing knowledge. There are no prerequisites, and the course builds your understanding from Scrum theory through to facilitation, so beginners are well supported.

What topics does the CSM training cover?

The training covers the six CSM areas: Scrum theory and principles, the five Scrum values, the Scrum Team, the five Scrum events, the Scrum artefacts and commitments, and the Scrum Master role, all aligned to the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives.

    What learning resources are provided?
