    The Foundation exam is closed book and tests knowledge and comprehension. The Practitioner exam is open book, with the PRINCE2 Agile publication permitted, and tests your ability to apply and tailor the method in scenarios. Both are delivered online or at a test centre.

    How many questions are in each exam and how long are they?

    The Foundation exam has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes. The Practitioner exam has 50 questions and lasts 150 minutes. Both are objective-test formats delivered by PeopleCert.

    What is the passing score for each exam?

    Both exams require 60% to pass. That is 24 out of 40 correct for Foundation and 30 out of 50 correct for Practitioner. Focus on broad mastery across all the syllabus areas.

    What are the prerequisites for the exams?

    PRINCE2 Agile Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. For Practitioner you need PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, or PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme covers both levels in sequence.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can resit the exam. Our training includes practice and preparation for both levels to help you pass, and selected plans include retake support. Verify the current resit policy at peoplecert.org.

    What topics does the PRINCE2 Agile training cover?

    The training covers the agile mindset, blending agile with PRINCE2, stakeholder engagement, agile leadership, risk and change, progress tracking, roles, scalable agility and value-driven thinking, plus applying and tailoring the method for the Practitioner level.

    Do I need prior PRINCE2 or agile experience?

    No. The Foundation level is open to all and starts from the basics, so beginners are welcome. Prior familiarity with Scrum or Kanban helps but is not required. The trainer builds knowledge step by step across both levels.

    What agile frameworks does the course cover?

    PRINCE2 Agile covers Scrum as the primary framework, along with Kanban, Lean Startup and Scrumban, plus awareness of scaling approaches. You learn how these delivery methods fit within a PRINCE2 governance structure.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive accredited courseware for both levels, practice questions, exam preparation resources and learner support. Practitioner preparation also covers open-book technique for navigating the PRINCE2 Agile publication under timed conditions.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner Syllabus published by PeopleCert and AXELOS, so you prepare against the standard the exams are based on.
