You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. No external credential is awarded, because VSM is a Lean technique rather than a certified qualification, but the skills are immediately applicable at work.

You practise the standard symbol set, data boxes, takt time and cycle time calculation, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), push versus pull analysis, supermarkets and kanban, Kaizen bursts, and the eight future-state design questions from Learning to See.

Is the training relevant to non-manufacturing sectors?

Yes. While VSM began on the shop floor, it applies to healthcare pathways, logistics, financial services and IT delivery. The mapping method works wherever materials or information flow through a process.

Are the mapping exercises hands-on?

Yes. The programme is built around practical exercises. You create current-state and future-state maps for realistic operational scenarios, so the skills transfer directly to your own value streams.
