Turn Waste into Value on the Shop FloorA Hands-On Skills Programme

Lean Manufacturing Training is a practical, one-day skills programme that teaches you to remove waste from production so that every step adds value for the customer. Built for teams across the Slovak Republic, this Lean Manufacturing Training grounds you in the Toyota Production System (TPS), the five Lean principles and the eight wastes known as DOWNTIME, so you leave able to improve flow on your own line. The programme suits production and manufacturing managers, industrial and quality engineers, supervisors, team leaders and continuous improvement coordinators in Slovakia's automotive, electronics and engineering plants. No prior Lean experience is needed, as the tools are taught from first principles. You practise real Lean tools through the day, from value stream mapping and 5S to pull systems, TPM and OEE, and receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. There is no formal assessment; you learn by doing, which makes it a focused, hands-on route to measurable shop-floor results.

Where Lean Skills Take Your Career in SlovakiaRoles, Demand and Pay

Lean manufacturing has become a core requirement across Slovakia's factories, valued by the automotive OEMs, Tier 1-3 suppliers, electronics makers and engineering plants that build almost a million vehicles a year for export. As plants retool for electric vehicles and automation, and as skilled technicians stay scarce, employers increasingly want engineers, supervisors and coordinators who can eliminate waste and lift throughput. Demand runs from team leader and quality engineer up to continuous improvement and production management, and here is what the Slovak market is telling us right now.

What Is Driving Demand for Lean Skills in Slovakia

Lean manufacturing is more than a set of tools. It is the capability Slovak plants need to defend margins through the EV and automation shift. Join the engineers and supervisors turning waste into throughput. Start your journey today.

    General

    What is Lean Manufacturing Training?

Lean Manufacturing Training is a one-day, practical skills programme that teaches you to remove waste from production and improve flow. It covers the Toyota Production System, the five Lean principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S, pull systems, TPM, OEE, standard work, SMED and Kaizen.

Who should attend Lean Manufacturing Training in Slovakia?

The training suits production and manufacturing managers, industrial and quality engineers, supervisors, team leaders, maintenance managers and continuous improvement coordinators. It is ideal for anyone working in Slovakia's automotive, electronics or engineering plants who wants to apply Lean on the floor.

Is Lean manufacturing worth it for my career in Slovakia?

Yes. Lean skills are in strong demand as Slovak plants retool for electric vehicles and automation and face skilled-labour shortages. Employers actively seek engineers and supervisors who can eliminate waste and raise throughput, and these skills support progression into higher-paying improvement and management roles.

Do I need prior Lean experience to join?

No. There are no prerequisites. The programme teaches Lean principles and tools from first principles, so learners with no prior Lean background can follow along. Some manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required.

What will I be able to do after the programme?

You will be able to run a waste walk, map a value stream, apply 5S, design a kanban pull system, calculate OEE, write standard work, reduce changeover time with SMED and lead Kaizen improvements on your own line.

    Pricing

How much does Lean Manufacturing Training cost in the Slovak Republic?

Pricing is available on request and varies by delivery format, group size and whether the training is public or onsite. Contact us for a tailored quote or ask a learning advisor about upcoming batches in Slovakia.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee covers instruction across all six Lean modules, hands-on tool exercises, courseware and reference materials, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. There is no separate assessment fee, as the programme is practical rather than test-based.

Do you offer group or corporate rates?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for production teams, plants and cross-functional groups. Onsite delivery at your Slovak facility is available. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you or your organisation.

Is there a discount for training a whole team?

Yes. Training a full team together is usually more cost-effective than enrolling individuals, and volume-based rates apply for larger groups. Request a group quote and we will tailor delivery to your team size and schedule.

    Assessment

How is learning assessed on the course?

There is no formal assessment. Learning is reinforced through hands-on activities such as waste walks, value stream mapping, 5S assessment, OEE calculation and kanban sizing during the day. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning on finishing the programme.

Do I get a completion record after the programme?

Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you complete the one-day programme. This is a practical skills course, not a credential awarded by an external body, so it focuses on capability you can apply immediately at work.

Are Lean skills recognised by employers in Slovakia?

Yes. Lean is a standard expectation across Slovak automotive, electronics and engineering plants, and is embedded in IATF 16949 automotive supply chains. Practical Lean capability is widely valued by employers hiring for engineering, quality, supervisory and improvement roles.

    What hands-on practice is included?

The day includes a Gemba-based waste identification exercise, value stream data collection and timeline work, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation exercise, kanban quantity sizing and standard work observation, so you practise the tools on realistic manufacturing scenarios.

How does this compare with Lean Six Sigma training?

Lean Manufacturing Training focuses on the full manufacturing Lean toolkit, from the eight wastes and value stream mapping to TPM, OEE and SMED, in a single practical day. Lean Six Sigma programmes add the Six Sigma DMAIC statistical method and typically run longer. The two are complementary.

    Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The programme covers six modules: Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the eight wastes, value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems with kanban, JIT and TPM, and standard work with SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and Lean culture.

How long is the Lean Manufacturing programme?

The training runs for one day (8 hours), covering all six modules with concept explanations, real manufacturing examples and hands-on exercises. It can also be delivered as two half-days totalling the same 8 hours to suit shift schedules.

Are there practical exercises throughout the day?

Yes. Hands-on Lean tool exercises and waste identification activities run throughout the programme, so you apply each tool, from value stream mapping to OEE, to realistic production scenarios rather than only learning theory.

What learning materials do I receive?

You receive structured courseware and reference materials covering the Lean tools and the six modules, along with exercise templates you can reuse on your own line. Materials are grounded in the Toyota Production System and established Lean practice.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The programme starts from first principles and needs no prior Lean knowledge, so beginners can follow it comfortably. Cross-functional teams often attend together so operators, supervisors and engineers build a shared Lean vocabulary.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in Lean Manufacturing Training in Slovakia?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

The programme is available as classroom training, online (live virtual) instructor-led training, and corporate onsite delivery. You can choose the format that best fits your schedule, whether you are an individual learner or a production team in Slovakia. Many learners take the Lean Manufacturing course online so they can train around shift patterns without travel.

    How soon can I start?

Public sessions run on a regular schedule and onsite corporate dates can be arranged around your team's availability. Ask about upcoming batches in the Slovak Republic to find the earliest convenient date.

Can you deliver the training at our plant?

Yes. Corporate onsite delivery is available anywhere in Slovakia, with exercises run on your own lines and production problems. This is especially effective because your team leaves with a practical improvement backlog. Request a corporate quote to arrange it.

What is the reschedule or refund policy?

Reschedules and refunds are handled per our published policy, and selected plans allow you to move to another batch. Reach out to our support team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
