What Is Quality by Design in Pharmaceutical Development?Built on the ICH Quality Guidelines

The Quality by Design Training in Argentina is a one-day, instructor-led programme that teaches the Quality by Design (QbD) approach to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical product and process development. QbD is a systematic, science-based method that builds quality into a medicine from the design stage rather than testing it in at the end, and it is mandated by the ICH Q8(R2), Q9, Q10 and Q11 guidelines and increasingly expected by regulators including ANMAT, the US FDA and the EMA. You learn to apply the full QbD toolkit, from the Quality Target Product Profile (QTPP) and Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) through risk assessment, Design of Experiments (DoE), the design space and the control strategy. The course suits formulation scientists, analytical chemists, process development engineers, quality assurance teams and regulatory affairs professionals across the country's laboratories and CDMOs. As Argentina strengthens its lead in Latin American biosimilars and ANMAT modernises its comparability and lifecycle rules, employers value practitioners who can design quality in and defend it in a regulatory submission. Start building that capability with Invensis Learning.

Identify and classify the physical, chemical and biological attributes critical to product quality for both small molecules and biologics, and link them to material and process parameters.

Risk Assessment with Ishikawa and FMEA

Map material and process risks to each CQA, then rank them by severity, occurrence and detectability to focus development effort where it counts.

Design of Experiments and the Design Space

Plan screening and response-surface DoE studies, interpret the models, and define a design space with normal operating and proven acceptable ranges.

    Process Analytical Technology (PAT)

Apply NIR, Raman and in-line sensors to monitor critical attributes in real time and enable real-time release testing during manufacturing.

    Control Strategy and CTD Submission

    What Our Learners Say

    Changed How I Approach Development

"The training finally connected the dots for me. I now build a QTPP and map critical quality attributes before touching the bench, and my risk assessments are far sharper. The DoE session alone changed how I plan formulation work."

    Martin Herrera

    Formulation Scientist

Practical PAT and Design Space Content

"As an analytical chemist, the sections on PAT and the design space were exactly what I needed. The trainer used realistic pharmaceutical cases, so I could apply the control strategy ideas to our own methods the same week."

    Lucia Fernandez

    Analytical Chemist

Clear Line to the Regulatory Dossier

"The link between the QbD tools and the CTD submission was the most valuable part for me. I understand much better how a documented design space and control strategy support an ANMAT dossier."

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Quality by Design training is a one-day, instructor-led course that teaches a systematic, science-based approach to pharmaceutical development, where quality is built into the product from the design stage. It covers the ICH Q8(R2), Q9, Q10 and Q11 framework and tools such as QTPP, CQAs, risk assessment, DoE and control strategy.

    General

What is Quality by Design (QbD) training?

Quality by Design training is a one-day, instructor-led course that teaches a systematic, science-based approach to pharmaceutical development, where quality is built into the product from the design stage. It covers the ICH Q8(R2), Q9, Q10 and Q11 framework and tools such as QTPP, CQAs, risk assessment, DoE and control strategy.

Is Quality by Design worth learning in Argentina?

Yes. Argentina is Latin America's biosimilars leader, and its laboratories, CDMOs and API makers increasingly expect QbD-based development for ANMAT, FDA and EMA submissions. The skills apply immediately to live product and process work.

Who should attend this QbD course?

The course suits formulation scientists, analytical chemists, process development engineers, quality assurance professionals and regulatory affairs (CMC) specialists in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, API and medical device organisations.

Do I need prior QbD knowledge to join?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Familiarity with pharmaceutical development or GMP is helpful but not required, as the course introduces QbD from first principles in a pharmaceutical development context.

Which standards does the training follow?

The programme is grounded in the ICH Quality guidelines: Q8(R2) Pharmaceutical Development, Q9 Quality Risk Management, Q10 Pharmaceutical Quality System and Q11 for drug substances, along with FDA and EMA expectations for pharmaceutical development.

    Pricing

How much does Quality by Design training cost in Argentina?

Pricing depends on the delivery mode (live virtual, classroom or corporate onsite) and group size, so fees are available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led training across all six QbD modules, hands-on tool exercises, courseware, worked case studies and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer customised corporate training with volume-based pricing for laboratories and cross-functional teams. Ask about group rates to receive a quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is the course fee different for teams than for individuals?

Individual and corporate pricing differ, as group programmes are customised and quoted by team size and delivery mode. Request a quote for your laboratory to see corporate rates.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. Quality by Design training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on tool exercises, pharmaceutical case studies and discussion during the one-day programme.

    Do I receive a certification?

No formal certification is awarded, as QbD training has no external awarding body. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that recognises your participation in the programme.

    How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You apply QbD tools such as QTPP construction, CQA identification, risk assessment and design space interpretation to realistic scenarios throughout the day.

What will I be able to do after the course?

You will be able to build a QTPP, identify and classify CQAs, run Ishikawa and FMEA risk assessments, plan a DoE for design space definition, and develop a control strategy for a CTD submission.

Are the QbD tools practised during the training?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the day, so you practise QTPP construction, CQA identification, Ishikawa and FMEA risk assessment and design space interpretation using realistic pharmaceutical scenarios.

    Course Content

What topics does the QbD training cover?

The course covers QbD principles and the ICH framework, QTPP and CQAs, risk assessment, Design of Experiments and the design space, Process Analytical Technology and control strategy, plus case studies on small molecule and biologic development.

    How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours) and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. It covers all six QbD modules with concept explanations and hands-on tool exercises throughout.

Does it cover both small molecule and biologic products?

Yes. The training includes QbD case studies for small molecule drug products such as tablets and injectables, and for biologics such as monoclonal antibodies and biosimilars.

Is Design of Experiments covered in practice?

Yes. You learn how to select screening and response-surface designs, interpret the resulting models, and translate them into a design space with normal operating and proven acceptable ranges.

    What materials are provided?

Participants receive courseware, worked pharmaceutical case studies and QbD tool templates for QTPP, CQA identification, risk assessment and design space interpretation.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the QbD course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to the schedule, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches to get started.
