Is there an exam for Lean Fundamentals training?

No. Lean Fundamentals is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through waste identification exercises, case study discussions and team activities during the one-day programme rather than a formal test.

Will I receive a certificate after the course?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the one-day programme. This recognises your participation and the Lean knowledge and tool awareness you have built.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, hands-on exercises, such as classifying activities into the eight DOWNTIME wastes and reading a simple value stream map, let you apply Lean concepts to realistic scenarios throughout the day.

Is this a recognised certification?

No. This is a skills training course, not a certification, and there is no external awarding body or credential. It builds practical Lean knowledge you can apply immediately, and is an ideal foundation before Lean Six Sigma or other Lean training.

Do I need to renew anything after the course?

No. As a non-certification course, there is nothing to renew or maintain. The Lean knowledge and skills you gain do not expire, and you can build on them through further Lean Manufacturing, VSM or Kaizen training.

How long is the Lean Fundamentals training?

The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering all modules with concept explanations, real-world case examples and hands-on exercises. An extended half-day format over two sessions is also available for some delivery options.

What will I be able to do after the course?
