    General

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Guyana?

Yes. As Guyana's oil-led economy drives transformation across energy, banking and the public sector, employers value professionals who can lead adoption and manage resistance. The two-level credential positions you for change manager, transformation and OD roles where formally trained talent is scarce.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised, two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people and culture side of change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts; Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational scenarios.

Who should take this change management course?

It suits project managers, HR business partners, OD and consulting professionals, programme managers and aspiring change managers. There are no formal prerequisites for Foundation, so it is open to professionals at any career stage looking to lead organisational change.

Which standard and body of knowledge does the course follow?

The course is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, and follows the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Exam Syllabi and the Change Management Practitioner Guide.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is a recognised discipline. That makes it a portable credential for professionals in Guyana working with global employers and investors.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a 40-minute duration. It is closed book and single-answer, with a pass mark of 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there and what are the prerequisites?

There are two separate exams. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the Change Management Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent. You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

Our training includes mock exams, scenario practice and first-attempt guidance to prepare you thoroughly for both levels. Re-sit policies vary by exam and channel, so a learning advisor can confirm the current retake options for you.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, industry-driven case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus guidance on open-book exam technique for the Practitioner exam.
