Will I receive a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after completing the one-day programme. No formal certification or external credential is awarded, as the course builds practical, immediately applicable RCA skills.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each tool through practical exercises: an Is/Is Not problem definition, a 5 Whys investigation, a Fishbone workshop and a full 8D report on a realistic scenario, so you leave able to use the tools at work.

Is this course a certification?

No. It is a practical, vendor-neutral skills training course, not a certification, and there is no governing body or exam. It builds capability you can apply immediately to problem investigation and corrective action in any industry.

How will I practise the RCA tools during the day?

The programme is exercise-led. You work through realistic problems using Is/Is Not analysis, the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA and an 8D report, and can apply the tools to your own workplace cases in corporate sessions.

What RCA tools does the course cover?

The course covers the core RCA toolkit: the 5 Whys, the Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA in the RCA context, Pareto analysis, Is/Is Not analysis and the 8D problem solving methodology. You also learn how to choose the right tool for each problem.

How long is the RCA course?

The course runs for one day, a total of eight hours. It can be delivered as a single full day or as two extended half-days, covering all six modules with concept explanations and hands-on exercises throughout.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The course introduces RCA from first principles, so beginners can follow it comfortably while experienced professionals deepen their toolkit. Hands-on exercises and worked examples support learners at every level.

Does the course cover the 8D methodology?

Yes. The course covers all eight disciplines of the 8D method, from team formation and interim containment through root cause identification, permanent corrective action and validation to preventing recurrence, including its use in automotive and regulated industries.

Will I learn to write and verify corrective actions?

Yes. You learn to develop corrective actions that address the verified root cause, tell verification apart from validation, and document them to meet ISO 9001 Clause 10.2 and CAPA requirements in regulated sectors.
