    The exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice paper based on the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge. It contains 150 questions across the five DMAIC phases, and a reference document with the required formulas and tables is provided during the exam.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    There are 150 scored multiple-choice questions, with up to 15 additional unscored questions on some forms. You have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it; non-native speakers and candidates with a disability may be allowed an extra 60 minutes.

    What is the passing score for the Black Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 580 points out of 750 to pass. The exam is closed book, though a reference document of formulas and tables is provided, so focus on broad mastery across all five DMAIC phases.
