The Kanban Skills You Will Build

From Pull Systems to Flow Metrics

This programme turns Kanban theory into workplace capability. Across a hands-on day you learn to design pull systems, build boards, set WIP limits and use flow metrics, so you leave able to run visual, pull-based workflows in manufacturing or knowledge work.

    Pull vs Push Fundamentals

What you will learn in Kanban training starts here: explain the push versus pull distinction, why overproduction is the worst waste, and how the kanban signal authorises work only when there is real downstream demand.

    Manufacturing Kanban Design

Design a manufacturing pull system using production and withdrawal kanban, one-bin and two-bin systems, supermarkets and e-Kanban, so materials move only when the downstream process needs them.

    Kanban System Sizing

Calculate kanban quantities and the number of kanban cards using takt time, demand and lead time, and apply the six Kanban rules to cap inventory and drive continuous improvement.

    Kanban Boards and WIP Limits

Build an Agile Kanban board with columns, swimlanes, classes of service and a clear Definition of Done, then set work-in-progress limits that stop overload and improve flow.

    Flow Metrics and the CFD

Measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, apply Little's Law, and read a Cumulative Flow Diagram to spot bottlenecks and forecast delivery from real data.

    Implementing and Sustaining Kanban

Plan a rollout using the start with what you do now principle, combine Kanban with Scrum as Scrumban, manage demand and capacity, and sustain flow discipline over time.

"In terms of content, all good. But poor time management. Time expected for breaks was never compliant (ie. if teacher said he was taking 10 mins break, it ended up being 20. For 50 mins break, teacher was showing up AT least 10-15 mins late...) Also, during second day I asked one question about a test and teacher seem disappointed for me to ask and gave me a whole speech of me not retaining all information while reading (after hours of exhausted training) also letting me know people who does not focus tend to have Low IQ... Also, having to spend time just waiting for teacher to end notes that I guess it should have been ready already for the lesson (at least, if the teacher is expecting for the alum to memorize and know everything at once) "

"The trainer has shared simple explanations by providing easy to understand examples when it came to the foundation training and theory. Also, I got a good understanding on what methods should I use when reviewing/ understanding and answering the questions for the Practitioner exam. Overall the 4 days of trainings I believe were fundamentanl in preparing myself for both exams (foundation & practitioner). I feel confident that I got the necessary information to prepare to take the exams. "
