    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes. It is closed book and single-answer, and the pass mark is 60%, which is 36 correct answers out of 60. There are no prerequisites to sit it.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, with 150 minutes allowed. It is open book, using the PRINCE2 manual, and scenario-based. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 marks out of 70.

    How many exams are in the combined programme?

    There are two separate PeopleCert exams. You sit and pass the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials, and the combined course prepares you for each.

    Where can I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

    You can take both exams online through PeopleCert's online proctored system, available 24/7, or at an authorised PeopleCert test centre. Exams are usually arranged as part of your training and exam package.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit the exam under PeopleCert's re-sit policy, and our training includes preparation support to help you succeed. Confirm the current re-sit terms and any fees with PeopleCert before booking a retake.
