Does this course include a formal test?

No. Primavera P6 Training is a practical skills course focused on building job-ready proficiency, so there is no formal test at either level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on P6 exercises using realistic project scenarios throughout the training.

What do I receive on finishing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing each level. More importantly, you leave with practical Primavera P6 skills you can apply immediately on real projects.

How are the skills assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you build proficiency by working through guided P6 exercises alongside the trainer, from creating a schedule to resource loading, baselining, updating progress and earned value analysis.

Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?

Take Fundamentals if you are new to Primavera P6 or use it only occasionally. Take Advanced if you already work in P6 and want to master resource and cost loading, earned value, Claim Digger, multi-project management and custom reporting. Both can be taken in sequence.

How long does each level take?

Fundamentals runs over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats. Ask about current scheduling options when you enquire.

What will I learn in the Primavera P6 course?

You learn to build and schedule project networks, apply the critical path, resource-load and cost-load a schedule, set baselines, track progress, apply Earned Value Management, assure schedule quality with DCMA checks, and manage multi-project portfolios in P6 EPPM.

What does the Fundamentals level cover?

Fundamentals covers the P6 interface and enterprise structure (EPS, OBS, WBS), activity creation and calendars, relationships and constraints, scheduling and the critical path, resource assignment, baselines, progress updating and basic reporting.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers advanced scheduling options, resource and cost loading with cost accounts, Earned Value Management, baseline management and Claim Digger, multi-project and enterprise portfolio management, and custom reporting with Excel integration.

Is the training hands-on?

Yes. Every module is delivered with live Primavera P6 exercises based on realistic construction and engineering scenarios, so you practise each feature and workflow as you learn it rather than just watching demonstrations.

Does the course cover Earned Value Management?

Yes, in the Advanced level. You learn how P6 calculates BCWS, BCWP and ACWP, how to interpret SPI, CPI, EAC and TCPI, and how to use earned value data to forecast final cost and duration for project reporting.
