    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions, lasts 60 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 60%, meaning 36 of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method and has no prerequisites.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, lasts 150 minutes and is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. The pass mark is 60%, meaning 42 of 70 marks. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 to scenarios.

    Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

    Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA, is a prerequisite for the Practitioner exam. In this combined programme you typically sit Foundation first, then Practitioner.

    Where can I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged through your training package.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?
