Assessment

How is learning assessed on the course?

There is no formal assessment. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction exercises, Kano classification activities and team discussion, so you practise the method on realistic scenarios throughout the day.

What do I receive after completing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. The training builds practical QFD and House of Quality skills you can apply immediately to product development, service design and improvement projects.

Will I be able to apply QFD straight away?

Yes. Because the course is hands-on, you leave able to run a Voice of the Customer session, build and interpret a House of Quality, and cascade requirements through the four QFD phases on your own products or services.

Is this a recognised methodology?

Yes. QFD is a globally recognised, established method used in automotive, aerospace, food processing, healthcare, software and services. The House of Quality is a standard planning tool within Design for Six Sigma and quality planning worldwide.

How does QFD support Six Sigma work?

QFD is a core tool in Design for Six Sigma (the DMADV Measure phase) and in the DMAIC Define phase, where it translates the Voice of the Customer into critical-to-quality requirements and project scope. The course shows exactly how to apply it.

What topics are covered in the QFD training?

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, maps design conflicts in the correlation roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets, all anchored to customer priorities.

Yes. While QFD began in manufacturing, the course covers applications in services such as healthcare, financial services and IT, and in software, so you can translate customer requirements into delivery standards in any sector.
