    What is the format of the IASSC Green Belt exam?

    The exam is closed book with 100 multiple-choice and true or false questions, completed in a three-hour window. It covers all five DMAIC phases and is delivered online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What score do I need to pass the Green Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases, so broad mastery across all five matters.

    Do I need work experience to sit the exam?

    No experience is required to sit the Green Belt exam. Real-world project experience is recommended because it deepens understanding, but it is not a condition of taking or passing the exam.
