What Is the Observability Foundation Certification?Your Route into Modern Observability

The Observability Foundation (OBSF) certification is a vendor-neutral DevOps Institute credential that validates your grasp of the concepts, practices and tools needed to implement observability in modern IT systems. Observability Foundation certification training in Poland gives DevOps, SRE and platform professionals a structured, supported route to that credential. Aligned to the current Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint and Body of Knowledge, the course covers the three pillars of observability, metrics, logs and distributed traces, along with OpenTelemetry, telemetry pipelines, and service-level indicators, objectives and agreements (SLIs, SLOs and SLAs). You learn how observability differs from traditional monitoring and how it shortens incident response across cloud-native and microservices environments. With no formal prerequisites, the programme suits engineers and technical leads across Poland's fast-growing IT, banking and e-commerce sectors. Delivered in live virtual and corporate formats by DevOps Institute-authorised trainers, it prepares you for the 40-question, open-book exam and a credential recognised by employers worldwide. Get certified with Invensis Learning and take the next step in your observability career.

Invensis Learning is a Peoplecert Accredited Training Organization (2778) in Poland, approved to deliver official Observability Foundation training using accredited courseware and standards.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Observability Foundation (OBSF) is a vendor-neutral DevOps Institute credential that validates a foundational understanding of the concepts, practices and tools needed to implement observability in modern IT systems. It is designed for DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers, developers and technical leads who want to build reliable, observable systems.

    General

What is the Observability Foundation certification and who is it for?

Observability Foundation (OBSF) is a vendor-neutral DevOps Institute credential that validates a foundational understanding of the concepts, practices and tools needed to implement observability in modern IT systems. It is designed for DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers, developers and technical leads who want to build reliable, observable systems.

Who governs the Observability Foundation certification?

The certification is offered by the DevOps Institute, which partners with PeopleCert for exam delivery. The course and exam are aligned to the official Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint and Body of Knowledge, so what you learn maps directly to what employers recognise worldwide.

Is the Observability Foundation certification worth it in Poland?

Yes. Observability skills are in strong demand across Poland's IT services, banking, e-commerce and gaming sectors. DevOps and SRE roles commonly pay from around 180,000 zL per year, and a recognised credential helps you stand out in a market focused on mid and senior specialists.

What are the prerequisites for Observability Foundation?

There are no formal prerequisites. The certification is open to all, though familiarity with DevOps concepts or IT operations is helpful. This makes it a strong first step for engineers moving from monitoring into full observability practice.

How long is the Observability Foundation certification valid?

The credential is valid for three years. You renew it by earning the required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through DevOps Institute membership and continuing education activities within the three-year cycle.

    Pricing

What is included in the Observability Foundation course fee?

The training fee typically includes DevOps Institute-aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions, mock exams, first-attempt exam guidance and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion can vary, so confirm what your package covers. Request a quote for the current details.

How much does Observability Foundation training cost in Poland?

Training in Poland is priced by format and whether you enrol individually or as a team. Live virtual and corporate group options are available. Pricing is available on request, so talk to a learning advisor for a quote tailored to your needs.

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. DevOps Institute exam pricing varies by region and channel. We can confirm whether your training bundle includes the exam voucher; ask about corporate or group pricing for teams.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for platform, SRE and operations teams across Poland. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

    Exam

What is the format of the Observability Foundation exam?

The exam is open book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the current Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint. It is delivered online with proctoring through PeopleCert OnVUE, or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The Observability Foundation exam has 40 questions and a duration of 60 minutes (one hour). It is a single-answer, multiple-choice, open-book paper.

What is the passing score for the exam?

The passing score is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Broad understanding across all topic areas is the best way to prepare.

What topics does the exam cover?

The exam is organised around six modules: observability principles and the three pillars; metrics, logs and distributed tracing; SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error budgets; OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines; alerting strategy and incident response; and SRE, AIOps and exam prep.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam under the DevOps Institute re-sit policy. Our training includes practice questions, mock exams and first-attempt guidance to help you prepare thoroughly and reduce the need for a retake.
