    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions, runs for 60 minutes, and is closed book. You need 60 percent, or 36 out of 60, to pass. It tests your knowledge of the PRINCE2 7 principles, practices and processes.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, runs for 150 minutes, and is open book with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. You need 60 percent, or 42 out of 70, to pass. The questions are scenario based.

    Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

    Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is a prerequisite for the Practitioner exam. Accepted equivalents such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA levels may also qualify. Verify the current accepted equivalents with PeopleCert before you apply.

    How and where do I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online proctored 24/7 or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined training and dual-exam package.

    What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

    You can resit the exam under PeopleCert's re-sit policy. Our training includes mock exams and preparation support to help you approach both papers with confidence. Ask about retake options when you enrol.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 training?

    The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners can start here. The training builds from the fundamentals to applied Practitioner scenarios, with trainer support throughout.

    How is the training structured?

    The combined programme is typically delivered over four days, around 32 hours, with Foundation content covered first and Practitioner second. Sessions mix concept teaching, worked scenarios and exam practice.
