    General

What is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined, two-level EXIN BCS credential that validates your ability to investigate business needs, engineer requirements and recommend solutions. The Foundation level covers concepts and techniques, while the Practitioner level tests applied practice. Both are developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Who should take this business analysis course?

It suits aspiring business analysts, project managers adding BA skills, IT professionals moving into analyst roles, and practising analysts formalising their knowledge. In the Slovak Republic it is especially valuable for professionals in business service centres, IT and banking.

Is the certification recognised in the Slovak Republic?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered professional body for IT, so the credentials are recognised internationally, including across Europe and the Slovak Republic's IT and business service sectors.

Is the business analysis certification worth it for my career?

Yes. Business analysts are in strong demand across Slovak service centres, banking and IT, with average salaries near EUR 39,000 and senior roles around EUR 48,000. The credentials prove employer-trusted skills and last for life. Talk to a learning advisor about your goals.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are valid for life. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing-education requirement once you have passed.

    Pricing

How much does the training cost in the Slovak Republic?

Fees vary by format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. The price is available on request and typically includes courseware, mock exams and exam vouchers. Request a quote for current pricing in the Slovak Republic.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee usually includes BCS-aligned courseware, industry case studies, Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams, EXIN-accredited trainer-led sessions, and learner support. Confirm exact inclusions with our team when you enquire.

Are the exam vouchers included in the price?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the two EXIN BCS exams?

Both exams are closed book. The Foundation exam uses single-answer multiple-choice questions on business analysis concepts across 14 topic areas. The Practitioner exam uses scenario-based multiple-choice questions testing applied skills across seven areas.

How many exams are there and how many questions?

There are two separate exams. Each has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes. You must sit and pass both the Foundation and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials.

    What is the passing score?

The passing score is 65% for both exams, which means 26 out of 40 questions correct. The same threshold applies to the Foundation and the Practitioner paper.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our training includes mock exams and first-attempt guidance to prepare you thoroughly, and our team can advise on re-sit arrangements through EXIN.

Where can I take the exams?

You can take both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through the accredited training provider as part of the combined package.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners can start here. The programme then builds to Practitioner-level applied skills, with trainer support throughout.

Do I need prior experience or prerequisites?

No formal prerequisites are required for the Foundation level. The EXIN BCS Foundation certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, and the combined course covers both in sequence.

Topics include business analysis concepts, investigation and elicitation, requirements engineering, process and requirements modelling, stakeholder analysis, strategy analysis, and business-case development, aligned to both EXIN BCS Examination Specifications.

Which standard is the course aligned to?

Are practice tests and mock exams included?
