    There are two separate PeopleCert exams. The Foundation exam has 60 questions in 60 minutes, closed book, with a 60% pass mark. The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks in 150 minutes, open book, also 60% to pass.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    Foundation is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam of 60 questions in 60 minutes. You need 60%, that is 36 out of 60, to pass. It tests your knowledge of PRINCE2 principles, people, practices and processes.

    What is the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam like?

    Practitioner is an open-book, scenario-based exam of 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. You may use the Managing Successful Projects manual and need 42 of 70 marks, which is 60%, to pass.

    What are the prerequisites for PRINCE2 Practitioner?

    You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Foundation itself has no prerequisites, which is why the combined programme is taken in sequence.
