    How to Get CSM Certified in Port Of SpainStep-by-Step Certification Process

    The path to online CSM certification in Port Of Spain is straightforward. Complete the 2-day Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®)-led course, take the Scrum Alliance assessment online, and activate your credential through your Scrum Alliance account. Most learners complete the process within a few days of finishing the course.

    Step 1: Enrol in the 2-Day CSM Course

    Choose your preferred Invensis Learning CSM cohort (2-Day Live Online Bootcamp or Corporate Group Training). All cohorts are led by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST) using official courseware and the latest Scrum Guide.

    Step 2: Attend and Participate in the Full Course

    Attend both days and take part in the workshops, exercises, and discussions. Active participation in the full 16-hour course is required by Scrum Alliance to become eligible for the CSM test.

    Step 3: Receive Your Scrum Alliance Test Invitation

    After the course, your CST submits your participation to Scrum Alliance, which emails you an invitation to take the online CSM test through your Scrum Alliance account.

    Step 4: Take the CSM Test

    Complete the CSM test online: 50 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, with a 74% pass mark (37 of 50). You receive two free attempts within 90 days of completing the course.

    Step 5: Accept the License Agreement and Earn CSM

    On passing, accept the Scrum Alliance License Agreement in your account to activate your Certified ScrumMaster® credential, digital badge, and 2-year Scrum Alliance membership.

    Step 6: Maintain Your Credential

    CSM is valid for 2 years. Renew by earning 20 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and paying the Scrum Alliance renewal fee before your credential expires.

    What is the format of the CSM exam?

    The CSM exam is an online, open-book, multiple-choice test taken through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete the course. It is based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives and the current Scrum Guide, and needs no proctor.

    How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

    The CSM exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes (one hour) to complete it. It is delivered online and is open book.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    You need 74% to pass, which means answering at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. Our training and practice questions are designed to prepare you across all six CSM topic areas.

    What if I do not pass the CSM exam the first time?

    You typically have up to three attempts to pass within 90 days of completing the course, so there is room to retry if needed. Our trainer guidance and practice questions are built to help you pass on the first attempt. Verify the current attempt policy at scrumalliance.org.

    How soon can I take the exam after the course?

    Once you complete the approved CSM course, the online exam is unlocked in your Scrum Alliance member portal and you have 90 days to sit it. You can take it at a time that suits you, from home or the office.
