    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 60 percent, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 7 method.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam is open book, using the Managing Successful Projects manual. It has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, lasts 150 minutes, and requires 60 percent, or 42 of 70 marks, to pass. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 to a scenario.

    What are the prerequisites for each level?

    Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. The combined course prepares you for both exams in sequence.

    Where and how do I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online via the OnVUE proctored system available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged as part of a combined training and dual-exam package.

    What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

    You can resit the exam through PeopleCert, and our preparation is designed to help you pass. Selected plans include retake support and additional practice. Confirm the current resit policy and any fees with a learning advisor before you book.

    What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 training?

    The course covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues, Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring. It then builds application and exam technique for both levels.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. Foundation assumes no prior PRINCE2 knowledge and starts from the basics, so beginners and career changers are well supported. The training then progresses to Practitioner-level application, so you build capability step by step.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive accredited courseware aligned to PRINCE2 7, practice questions, full-length mock exams, quizzes and guidance on navigating the manual for the open-book Practitioner exam. Materials support both self-study and instructor-led learning.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

    Yes. All materials are aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PeopleCert Foundation and Practitioner syllabus, including the People capability and the updated practices and processes.

    How is the training delivered?

    Training is delivered as online (live virtual) instructor-led sessions and classroom formats, with corporate group options for teams. The combined programme is typically run over four days, covering Foundation first and then Practitioner.
