What Is the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification?Your First Step into Process Improvement

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (LSSYB) is an entry-level process improvement credential that validates your understanding of the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) and the core Lean tools used to reduce waste and variation. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification training in Uganda gives professionals a recognised first step into quality and operational excellence, awarded by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC). The credential suits front-line staff, team members, supervisors and graduates who support improvement projects led by Green and Black Belts. As Uganda accelerates industrialisation under the Fourth National Development Plan and prepares for first oil, employers across manufacturing, agro-processing, oil and gas and financial services increasingly value people who can spot waste and improve everyday processes. If you want a globally recognised entry into quality management, the Yellow Belt is a clear and achievable starting point. Begin your Lean Six Sigma journey with Invensis Learning and build skills you can apply from day one.

Invensis Learning is an accredited IASSC (Peoplecert) training partner in Uganda (2778), approved to deliver official LSSYB training using IASSC-aligned courseware.

Map Processes with SIPOC and VSM

Learn to picture how work really flows using process maps, SIPOC diagrams and value stream maps, so you can see where waste, delays and defects enter a process before you try to fix it.

    Measure Performance with Quality Metrics

Build comfort with core Six Sigma metrics such as DPU, DPMO, first time yield and cycle time, plus basic statistics, so you can describe how a process performs using data rather than opinion.

    Analyse Root Causes of Variation

Use cause-and-effect (fishbone) diagrams, Pareto analysis and simple data analysis to separate the vital few causes from the trivial many and understand why problems happen.

Apply Lean Tools to Remove Waste

Get hands-on with Lean essentials including the seven wastes, 5S, Kanban and Poka-Yoke, so you can support practical changes that make processes faster, cleaner and more reliable.

Sustain Gains with Controls and SPC

Understand the Control phase: control plans, mistake-proofing and an introduction to statistical process control charts, so improvements hold and do not slip back over time.
