    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level project management qualification governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. Based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), it validates that you understand the method and can apply and tailor it to real projects.

Who should take PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training?

It suits project team members, coordinators, aspiring and practising project managers, and professionals moving into structured delivery roles. Foundation needs no prior experience, while Practitioner is aimed at those who will manage projects using PRINCE2.

    Is PRINCE2 recognised in Uganda?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised project management method valued across Uganda and internationally, particularly by public sector, oil and gas, banking, telecoms and development organisations that run complex, accountable projects.

Is the PRINCE2 certification worth it for my career?

For most project professionals, yes. Project managers in Uganda average around USh 40M a year, with senior roles reaching USh 53M and above, and employers increasingly prefer method-certified candidates. Talk to a learning advisor to see how it fits your goals.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner by re-sitting the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Uganda?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. The PeopleCert examination fees are billed separately and are not part of the training fee. Contact us for a tailored quote for your preferred format.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, instructor-led sessions, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable resources and learner support, plus preparation for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees are set by PeopleCert and may be bundled or billed separately depending on the package you choose. Ask a learning advisor which option includes the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for PRINCE2 training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, business units and departments. Contact us for a group quote for your organisation.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and the pass mark is 60 percent, meaning 42 marks out of 70. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 to scenarios.

How many exams are in the combined PRINCE2 programme?

There are two separate PeopleCert examinations: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials, and the combined training prepares you for each level.

Which edition are the PRINCE2 exams based on?

Both exams are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual. PRINCE2 7 introduces the People capability, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile and sustainability.

What happens if I do not pass a PRINCE2 exam?

You can re-sit the exam through PeopleCert. Selected training plans include retake support and additional practice to help you prepare. Confirm the current re-sit policy and fees with PeopleCert before booking a resit.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The training covers the four integrated elements of PRINCE2 7: the seven principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues, Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and exam preparation.

Do I need prior experience to take PRINCE2 Foundation?

No. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners can start here. Practitioner requires Foundation first, and this combined programme guides you through both levels in sequence.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, practice questions, mock exams, chapter-wise quizzes and downloadable reference materials, along with trainer-led examples that connect the method to real project situations.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?
