How to Get Agile PM Certified in ZambiaStep-by-Step Certification Process

The path to Online Agile PM certification follows a structured two-exam route. There are no prerequisites for the Foundation examination. After completing the combined Foundation and Practitioner training, candidates progress through both certification exams to demonstrate their knowledge of Agile Project Management principles and practices. Most learners complete the process within 1 to 2 weeks after training.

Step 1: Complete the Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Training

Enrol in the Invensis Learning Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Certification training in Zambia (5-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). The integrated programme covers the Agile PM lifecycle, roles and responsibilities, project control, requirements, estimating, and risk management.

Step 2: Sit the Agile PM Foundation Exam

Take the Foundation exam: 50 multiple-choice questions, 40 minutes, 50% pass mark (25 of 50), closed book. Delivered online proctored from your home or office in Zambia, or at an approved test centre.

Step 3: Earn the Agile PM Foundation Credential

On passing the Foundation exam, your Agile PM Foundation certificate is issued. The Foundation credential validates your knowledge of Agile project management fundamentals.

Step 4: Sit the Agile PM Practitioner Exam

Take the Practitioner exam: 4 objective-test questions, 2.5 hours, 50% pass mark (40 of 80 points), open book to the official Agile PM manual. The Practitioner exam is scenario-based and tests applied knowledge in realistic project contexts.

Step 5: Activate Your Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Credentials

On passing both exams, you earn both the Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner certificates. The Foundation credential is lifetime valid; the Practitioner credential typically has a 5-year validity, renewable via continuing professional development (CPD) or re-examination.

Step 6: Maintain Your Practitioner Credential

Maintain your Agile PM Practitioner credential by earning CPD points each year or by re-sitting the Practitioner exam before the 5-year validity expires. Foundation does not require renewal.

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management certification based on DSDM and published by the Agile Business Consortium. Foundation validates your knowledge of the framework, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios.

    General

What is the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management certification based on DSDM and published by the Agile Business Consortium. Foundation validates your knowledge of the framework, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios.

Is AgilePM certification worth it in Zambia?

Yes. Zambian IT, banking, mining and public-sector employers increasingly list agile and Scrum as essential skills, and certified agile project leaders remain scarce. AgilePM positions you for roles from agile project manager to senior delivery manager as digital transformation scales.

Who should take the AgilePM course?

The course suits project managers, business analysts, testers, team leads and PRINCE2 or Scrum practitioners who want to deliver agile projects with governance. Foundation is open to anyone new to the framework, and Practitioner suits those applying it in live project environments.

    Is AgilePM recognised internationally?

Yes. AgilePM is recognised in more than 150 countries and is particularly strong where structured project governance is needed alongside agile delivery. The credential travels across sectors and borders, which supports mobility for professionals based in Zambia.

Do I need experience or prerequisites to start?

AgilePM Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam, you need the Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme takes you through both levels in sequence.

    Pricing

How much does AgilePM training cost in Zambia?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner training fees vary by delivery format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. Speak with a learning advisor for a tailored quote covering courseware, mock exams and exam preparation support.

What is included in the AgilePM course fee?

The training fee typically includes AgilePM-aligned courseware, industry case studies, Foundation and Practitioner mock exams, exam-technique guidance and learner support. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen format when you request a quote.

Are the two exam fees included in the price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the training package you choose. Many packages bundle both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, so confirm the current inclusion with our team before you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, IT functions and delivery teams across Zambia. Contact us for a group quote tailored to your team size and goals.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that fits you and to see upcoming batches.

    Exam

What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a 40-minute duration and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of the Foundation portion of the training.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is a two-hour, open-book, scenario-based paper with 4 questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total. The pass mark is 50%, meaning 30 out of 60 marks. The AgilePM Handbook is permitted during the exam.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the AgilePM Handbook is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario questions require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient handbook navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our training includes mock exams and exam-technique guidance aimed at a first-time pass, and our team can advise on re-sit steps. Confirm the current re-sit policy with Invensis Learning.

Which standard are the AgilePM exams based on?

Both exams are based on the AgilePM Handbook, current edition, published by the Agile Business Consortium, and the official AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner syllabi. The framework is built on DSDM, the Dynamic Systems Development Method.

    Course Content

What topics does the AgilePM training cover?

The training covers the eight AgilePM principles, the six-phase lifecycle, roles and responsibilities, MoSCoW prioritisation, timeboxing, and planning, control and risk. Foundation builds understanding, and Practitioner develops how to apply and tailor the framework.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. AgilePM Foundation has no prerequisites and is designed for those new to the framework. The training builds knowledge step by step before Practitioner develops scenario application, so beginners and experienced practitioners are both supported.

    What learning resources are included?

Learners receive AgilePM-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions, and Foundation and Practitioner mock exams. These resources help you understand the framework, practise open-book technique and build readiness for both examinations.

How long is the AgilePM training?

The combined AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner programme runs for about 40 hours of training, commonly delivered as an intensive five-day schedule. The number of days can vary by format, such as extended half-day sessions across more days.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest AgilePM Handbook?
