    The PfMP certification path in Armenia is the most senior on the PMI credential ladder. It centres on PMI's peer-panel review of your portfolio management experience, followed by a 170-question, 240-minute scenario-based exam administered through Pearson VUE. From initial application to exam day typically takes 3-6 months, including the panel-review evaluation window.

    Step 1: Confirm PfMP Eligibility

    Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets (Set A / Set B / Set C) , secondary diploma OR bachelor's degree OR GAC-accredited bachelor's, plus 96 months of professional business experience plus 84/48/36 months of portfolio management experience within the past 15 years.

    Step 2: Enrol in PfMP Training

    The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The PfMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. Questions are distributed across the five domains: Strategic Alignment, Governance, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Risk Management and Communications Management.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP, in which portfolio management practitioners evaluate your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What if I do not pass the PfMP exam the first time?
