What is the Project Management Professional (PMP)?

The PMP is PMI's flagship project management certification and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead and direct projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and it is recognised in over 200 countries.

Who should take PMP certification training?

The PMP suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who lead projects and want a globally recognised credential. It is ideal for those working across software, banking, telecoms and infrastructure who want to formalise their experience and advance their careers.

Which standard is the PMP based on?

The current PMP exam is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the PMP Examination Content Outline, awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Around half the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches, with the rest covering predictive delivery.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

What is included in the PMP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance and learner support, plus the contact hours that count towards PMI's 35-hour education requirement. Request a quote for current pricing.

How much does the PMP exam cost?

PMI bills the exam separately, for reference around USD 405 for members and USD 555 for non-members, with fees varying by region. PMI membership, around USD 139 a year, lowers the exam fee and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide. Confirm current fees on pmi.org.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. The PMI exam fee is paid directly to PMI and is separate from the training fee. Your training prepares you for the exam and provides the education hours you need to apply. Talk to a learning advisor to understand the full cost.

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP is a closed-book exam of 180 questions, delivered online with Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions based on the PMP Examination Content Outline.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and covers predictive, agile and hybrid content.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all exam domains rather than a target percentage.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP?

There are two paths: a four-year degree plus 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma plus 60 months of leading projects. Both paths also require 35 contact hours of project management education, which this training provides.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our practice tests, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass on your first attempt.

What topics are covered in the PMP training?

The training covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery in line with the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition: project fundamentals, plan-based methods, agile frameworks, business analysis and value delivery, and stakeholder engagement, along with risk, quality, schedule and team leadership.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

You can join the training at any stage, but to sit the PMP exam you need project leadership experience and 35 contact hours of education. The course is structured to support both experienced managers and those formalising their delivery experience.

What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMP Examination Content Outline, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes to build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, so you prepare for the exam as it is delivered today, including its agile and hybrid content.

Will I get a certificate after the training?

Yes. After completing the training you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours (PDUs) earned, which count towards the 35 hours of project management education PMI requires for the PMP application.
