    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, taken over 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and scenario based. You need 60 percent, or 42 marks, to pass.

    What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

    You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or an IPMA Level A to D qualification. Foundation has no prerequisites, so most learners take both levels in sequence through the combined programme.

    Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    You can take both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring system, available 24/7, or at an authorised PeopleCert test centre. Exams are usually arranged as part of your combined training package.

    What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

    You can re-sit the exam through PeopleCert, and our trainers provide revision guidance and practice questions to help you prepare for a re-take. Selected plans also include flexible re-attendance so you can revisit the training. Ask us about the options that apply to you.

    What topics does the PRINCE2 course cover?

    The course covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress), the seven processes, the new People capability, and tailoring PRINCE2 to different projects, including agile and hybrid delivery.

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    No prior experience is required for the Foundation level, which is open to all. The Practitioner level builds on Foundation and is designed for practising or aspiring project managers, but the combined programme guides beginners through both levels.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes for both levels, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for the closed-book Foundation and open-book Practitioner exams.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 edition?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to PRINCE2 7 (7th Edition, 2023) and the current PeopleCert Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses, based on the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual.

    What is the difference between Foundation and Practitioner?

    Foundation tests your knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 method at a closed-book level. Practitioner tests your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios in an open-book exam. The combined course prepares you for both.
