    What is the format of the Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in a single-answer format, closed book, with 40 minutes allotted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation part of the training.

    What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, with 2.5 hours allotted. It is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

    How many exams are there in the combined programme?

    There are two separate exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. The combined 5-day programme prepares you for each level in sequence.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Both efficient guide navigation and deep understanding of the models are essential.

    How are the exams delivered and what if I do not pass first time?

    The syllabus covers models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

    What are the five topic areas of the syllabus?

    The five areas are Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at application level.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners are welcome. The programme builds from core concepts to applied practice, with practice questions, case studies and trainer support to help you progress with confidence.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the Change Management Practitioner Guide, so you study material that reflects what the exams assess.

    How long is the combined programme?

    The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule, for example an intensive full-day format or an extended part-day format spread over more days.
