Skills You Will Build as a Product OwnerPractical Product Ownership Capabilities

This CSPO training builds the knowledge and hands-on capability behind the credential, not just theory. By the end you can define a product vision, manage a backlog and lead value delivery on a Scrum team.

    Scrum Foundations for Product Owners

What you will learn in CSPO starts with Scrum theory: empiricism, the three pillars of transparency, inspection and adaptation, and the Scrum values, all seen through the Product Owner lens so you can make sound product decisions in complex environments.

    Owning the Product Owner Accountability

Understand what it means to be the single person accountable for product value, how the role differs from project and traditional product management, and how to make clear decisions while managing stakeholder pressure and scope creep.

    Product Vision and Product Goal

Learn to craft a compelling product vision and define the Product Goal as the Product Backlog commitment, then connect that long-term direction to Sprint Planning so every Sprint moves the product toward its target state.

    Product Backlog Management

Build, refine and order an emergent Product Backlog using user stories, INVEST criteria and acceptance criteria, and apply ordering techniques such as MoSCoW, cost of delay and the Kano model to focus the team on the highest value.

    Stakeholder Collaboration and Value

Identify customers, users and stakeholders, gather feedback through Sprint Reviews and discovery techniques, and define and measure value so you can balance competing priorities with evidence rather than opinion.

    Release Planning and Forecasting

Plan releases in an empirical environment using velocity-based forecasting, MVP and minimal marketable feature thinking, and transparent scope decisions that keep stakeholders aligned on what will be delivered and when.
