Assessment

Is there an exam for Lean Manufacturing Training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities, manufacturing case studies and team discussion during the programme.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. It records your attendance and completion; it is not a formal certification, as none exists for this training.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply Lean tools throughout the day through waste walks, value stream mapping, 5S assessment, OEE calculation and kanban design exercises on realistic production scenarios.

Is this a certification course?

No. Lean Manufacturing Training is a practical skills programme, not a certification. It builds a complete Lean toolkit you can apply immediately, without an exam or an external awarding body.

How long does the training take?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering Lean foundations, the eight wastes, value stream mapping, 5S, pull systems and kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, poka yoke and Kaizen, with exercises throughout.

What topics does Lean Manufacturing Training cover?

The course covers the five Lean principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, Total Productive Maintenance and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, poka yoke and building a Kaizen culture.

What Lean tools will I learn to use?

You will learn to use value stream mapping, 5S, kanban and supermarkets, OEE calculation, TPM, standard work documentation, SMED quick changeover, Heijunka levelling, poka yoke mistake-proofing and A3 problem solving.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout, including a Gemba-based waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation, kanban quantity sizing and standard work observation.

Can beginners take this course?

Yes. The course introduces Lean manufacturing from first principles, so no prior Lean knowledge is needed. Concepts are explained clearly and reinforced with practical exercises suitable for newcomers.

What delivery formats are available?

The training is available online (live virtual), in a classroom, and as corporate on-site delivery for teams. You can choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning preference.
