What Business Process Management Really InvolvesA Practical Guide for Icelandic Teams

Business Process Management (BPM) Training in Iceland gives professionals a practical, end-to-end method for designing, running and improving the processes that keep an organisation working. Business process management is the discipline of identifying, modelling, analysing, improving and monitoring how work flows across teams to deliver value to the customer, and this instructor-led programme teaches it from first principles. Over one focused day you work through the full BPM lifecycle, from process identification and modelling to analysis, redesign, implementation and continuous improvement. You learn to map processes using BPMN 2.0, the international process modelling standard (ISO/IEC 19510) maintained by the Object Management Group, and to align your work with recognised references such as the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge (CBOK), ISO 9001:2015 and Lean and Six Sigma improvement tools. The course suits business analysts, process owners, operations managers, IT professionals and quality practitioners in Iceland who want a shared language for process improvement. There is no examination; learning is reinforced through hands-on modelling and analysis exercises you can use at work straight away. Start building real process capability with Invensis Learning.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Business Process Management is a structured discipline for identifying, modelling, analysing, improving and monitoring how work flows across an organisation to deliver value to the customer. This training teaches BPM from first principles, including the BPM lifecycle and BPMN 2.0 process modelling.

    General

What is Business Process Management (BPM)?

Business Process Management is a structured discipline for identifying, modelling, analysing, improving and monitoring how work flows across an organisation to deliver value to the customer. This training teaches BPM from first principles, including the BPM lifecycle and BPMN 2.0 process modelling.

Who should attend BPM training in Iceland?

The course is designed for business analysts, process owners, operations and service managers, IT professionals, quality practitioners and change or transformation leads in any Icelandic sector. Anyone responsible for designing, running or improving a business process will benefit.

Is BPM training worth it for my career?

Yes. Process skills are in demand across Iceland's seafood, banking, energy, IT and public sectors, and they map to roles such as business process analyst, business analyst, operations manager and project manager. You gain a practical, transferable capability you can apply from day one.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Some familiarity with business operations helps, but the programme introduces business process management from first principles, so beginners and experienced practitioners can both follow it comfortably.

What standards and frameworks does the training cover?

The course grounds you in BPMN 2.0, the international process modelling standard (ISO/IEC 19510) maintained by the Object Management Group, and references the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge (CBOK), the ISO 9001:2015 process approach, and Lean and Six Sigma improvement tools.

    Pricing

How much does BPM training cost in Iceland?

Pricing depends on the delivery format, group size and schedule, so the fee is available on request. Live virtual, classroom and onsite options are all offered. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current pricing for your preferred format.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six BPM modules, structured courseware and learning resources, hands-on modelling and analysis exercises, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen format when you enquire.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We provide corporate and group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and departments. It is a cost-effective way to upskill a cross-functional group together. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer flexible options on selected plans. For team enrolments we can arrange consolidated billing. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Are there discounts for training a whole team in Iceland?

Yes. Group and corporate rates apply when you train several people together, and onsite delivery in Reykjavik or elsewhere in Iceland can be arranged. Ask about corporate and group pricing when you request your quote.

    Assessment

Is there an assessment or exam at the end of the course?

No. This is a non-certification, practical skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN 2.0 modelling exercises, process analysis workshops and group discussion during the programme, so you leave able to apply the techniques immediately.

Will I receive anything on completing the training?

Yes. On finishing the programme you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. The real outcome, though, is a set of practical process management skills you can apply in your organisation straight away.

How is learning reinforced during the day?

Through practice rather than testing. You model processes from verbal descriptions, analyse them for waste and bottlenecks, and work through redesign activities in facilitated workshops, so every concept is applied to a realistic scenario as you learn it.

Are there any prerequisites to enrol?

None. The course is open to all professionals regardless of prior training or education. It introduces business process management from the ground up, so you do not need earlier process experience to take part.

Will I be able to apply the skills at work immediately?

Yes. That is the point of the training. By the end you can map a process in BPMN 2.0, analyse it for improvement opportunities, redesign it and define the KPIs that keep it on track, all using your own organisation's processes as examples.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the BPM training?

You will learn the full BPM lifecycle, BPMN 2.0 process modelling, qualitative and quantitative process analysis, process KPIs and measurement, redesign and governance, and how BPM technology and automation support continuous improvement across the organisation.

    What is the BPM lifecycle?

The BPM lifecycle is a continuous, six-phase approach to managing processes: identify, model, analyse, design, implement and monitor or optimise. The course walks you through each phase with exercises so you can run the cycle on your own processes.

Does the course cover BPMN 2.0 modelling?

Yes. BPMN 2.0 is central to the training. You practise drawing swimlane diagrams with events, activities, gateways and lanes, and learn to move from a plain-language description to a validated, stakeholder-readable process model.

How does BPM relate to Lean and Six Sigma?

BPM provides the end-to-end framework for managing and governing processes, while Lean and Six Sigma supply improvement tools applied within it. The course shows how they work together, so BPM governs the process and Lean and Six Sigma help improve it.

How long is the BPM training?

The programme runs for one day of eight hours, and can also be delivered as two extended half-days totalling the same eight hours. It covers all six modules with modelling exercises, analysis workshops and real-world case examples throughout.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the BPM course in Iceland?

Enrol through the Invensis Learning website or by contacting our team. Choose your preferred format, confirm your place, and you will receive the schedule, courseware and joining details. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a format.

    What training formats are available?

The course is available as online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom sessions, and onsite corporate delivery for teams. You can pick the format that best fits your schedule and how your team prefers to learn.

    How soon can I start?

New live virtual and classroom sessions run regularly, and onsite team dates are scheduled around your availability. Get in touch to see the next upcoming batches and reserve your place.

Can the course be delivered onsite for my team in Reykjavik?
