    How many exams are in the combined programme?

    Two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 80 marks total, over 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80). You must pass both to hold both credentials.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. The five scenario-based sections still require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep knowledge of the models are both essential.

    What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

    Our training includes scenario-based practice, mock exams and guidance for both levels to prepare you for a first-time pass. If you need to resit, we can advise on the retake process. Ask about our preparation and retake support options.

    Which standard are the exams based on?

    The exams are aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner syllabi and draw on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, covering five topic areas at knowledge and application levels.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in the training?

    The course covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner applies it to real scenarios.

    What change models will I learn?

    You will learn established models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step, Kotter's 8-Step, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The programme builds from core concepts to applied practice, with case studies and mock exams that support learners moving into their first formal change role.

    How long is the training?

    The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, such as full-day intensive or extended half-day sessions.

    What materials and practice are provided?

    You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, and Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams, including open-book technique practice for the Practitioner scenarios.
